Every great festival needs someone daft enough to dream it up in the first place. Meet Paul.
A party DJ and karaoke host with over twenty years behind the decks, Paul has spent two decades keeping dance floors packed and microphones warm at pubs, clubs, parties and events across the country. Whether he’s dropping floor fillers or coaxing a crowd of strangers into belting out Bon Jovi on a Tuesday night, he knows exactly how to read a room and get people on their feet.
When he’s not behind the decks, you’ll probably find him out on the road in his campervan, and it was somewhere between a festival field and a campsite that the idea for the Dub Festival came about. Part music lover, part campsite dreamer, part “that bloke who just makes things happen,” Paul decided to stop talking about putting on his own festival and actually do it.
At 62, Paul brings the kind of energy that puts people half his age to shame, an infectious sense of fun, and a firmly held belief that life’s too short for bad music and empty dance floors. He’s the heart and soul of this weekend, so grab a drink, pick a song, and let him do what he does best.
